Hi, I’m LJ! I’ve always loved the art of tea and the magick so many of the ingredients around us carry. My college roommates used to call me “the tea fairy” because I would always make them a cup of tea for anything that was troubling them; back pain, anxiety, insomnia, etc. The nickname sort of stuck among friends. Then when I started a seasonal blog and podcast about Arthurian Legend called “Of Swords and Magic”, I created a few tea blends for each of the main characters in the famous King Arthur stories, which I’ve always loved. I fell in love with the idea of creating blends inspired by different characters, so I created more based on figures from various mythological tales and pantheons…and then the passion just continued. Now there are blends inspired by several gods and goddesses, fairy tale princesses, different locations around the world, theme parks and of course, wellness.
The Tea Fairy’s mission is to bring a little magic to your day-to-day life with a cup of deluxe, homemade tea. Each blend is crafted with intention, love and care, using quality ingredients from various parts of the world, including my front porch garden. All the troubles of the world can melt away for a moment with a sip of good quality, passionately-blended tea. The Tea Fairy believes there is energy in all things; and therefore, there is magic in all things. Magic is woven into the very fabric of the universe. It’s in the kindness of strangers, in a warm hug, in a friendly smile, in good food…in a cup of tea.
As plants are living things, they absorb energy, as all living things do. And as tea leaves and herbs are plants, when we harvest and blend our leaves and steep them in hot water, the energy we give them while doing so results in the energy we feed ourselves.
This is why each of the Tea Fairy’s blends are made to order. Blends crafted for deities and spiritual work require a different energy than those crafted for princess parties, etc. It’s imperative to me that whichever blend you order is as potent in its energy and magick as it is in its taste.
